Gravity separation is one of the commonly used methods of gold ore beneficiation. It uses different proportions of materials and different sedimentation speeds in the medium to carry out stratified separation.
Generally, in placer gold mines, gold mostly exists in the form of single natural gold, which has a large difference in density with gangue. The use of gravity separation of gold has a good effect and high economic benefits.
In gold ore beneficiation, the choice of gravity separation depends on the nature of the gold ore. It is recommended to conduct the beneficiation test first when selecting the process, analyze the nature of the gold ore, and determine whether the gravity separation process is suitable for selection through the test, and obtain the ideal gold separation process.

Application:
Gravity gold processing is the most traditional method of extracting gold in rock gold mine used widely. It is more as a secondary process to recover coarse gold in the grinding circuit to create favorable conditions for the flotation and cyanidation. Because of its efficiency in capturing single coarse gold, so for placer gold extraction, the process is also in dominant position.
